WriteNow! Creative Writing Club: “3-Word Challenge Story Shorts”

Class Experience:

What short story can you create from SURPRISE word prompts? Amaze yourself and your classmates when you join our club for fun creative writing class challenges, where students create 1-paragraph story shorts from 3-word challenge prompts.

How does it work?
1. Catch our 3 Challenge Words (teacher reveals words)
2. Define Dash (teacher tests basic knowledge w/ rapid define round)
3. WriteNow! Time (use Challenge Words to write a 1-paragraph short story w/in 15 minutes)
4. Dare to Share (each student reveals their creative stories + gets student/teacher feedback)

Come back for brand new prompts each creative writing Club session to build vocabulary, boost critical thinking, advance comprehension, and create educational memories with student peers.

CLUB REQUIREMENT
Students must already know how to write complete sentences and be able to write 5-9 sentences within 15 minutes in order to benefit from these creative writing sessions.

-Learn new words to build vocabulary and improve grammar
– Practice word usage to advance comprehension
– Exercise timed writing to anticipate and understand transitions, plus boost critical thinking
– Strengthen social and confidence skills through creative expression (oral presentation)
